Central High School is proud to celebrate the continued success of 2007 CHS alumnus Kenneth “KJ” Lee, who has recently been hired as associate head coach and defensive coordinator for the University of Georgia Women’s Basketball program. This exciting opportunity marks a major step forward in Lee’s coaching career and highlights the impact of Central graduates at the collegiate level.
His journey from Central High to one of the top programs in the SEC reflects both his dedication to the sport and his commitment to developing student-athletes on and off the court. Lee comes to Georgia from McNeese State, where he coached alongside the new Georgia Head Coach, Ayla Guzzardo, this past season.
Lee helped engineer the best single-season turnaround in women's college basketball last season, helping McNeese State win a school-record 29 games. He followed Guzzardo to McNeese State from Southeastern Louisiana, where they helped the program earn four-straight winning seasons, two regular-season conference championships, a tournament title, and an NCAA Tournament berth.
Congrats KJ!
