The qualifier season has officially wrapped up for the Capital Area Esports League, and we’re proud to celebrate our Central High competitors!

During the competition on Saturday Febuary 7, Jayden McNeely kicked off the day with a big win in Mario Kart, with Beau Potts and Alex Dunbar right there cheering him on. That victory secured Jayden a spot in the Mario Kart Playoffs starting next month!

We’re excited to share that three of our students have advanced to compete against top schools across the Greater Baton Rouge Area:

  • Beau Potts – Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Playoffs

  • Gabe Zamora – Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Playoffs

  • Jayden McNeely – Mario Kart Playoffs

Esports sponsor Jeffery Johnson shares:

"The playoffs begin next month, and we’re hoping the matches will be broadcast on Twitch so we can share the stream and rally our community to support our players. We are always grateful for the incredible support we receive each year. Let’s cheer on our competitors as they aim to bring another trophy home to Central High!"
