The Spring 2026 LEAP results were released this week, and the Central Community School System ranked 4th in Louisiana for the percentage of students scoring at the Mastery and Advanced levels.

This achievement reflects the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers and staff, and the unwavering support of our parents and families. Together, we continue to build a culture of high expectations and student success.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in this outstanding accomplishment. We are proud of what our Wildcats have achieved, and we're excited to keep moving forward together!

Happy National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day! Thank you for all you do!
The Central Community School Board voted Monday night to lower the overall school tax rate for the 2026 tax year.
After hearing from community members and reviewing the financial options, the Board set the total millage rate at 55.69 mills. This is a decrease of 0.65 mills from last year.

The Board chose not to roll forward operating millages and reduced the debt service millage, reflecting a focus on fiscal responsibility and sensitivity to the current economic climate.

“Our Board listened carefully and made a thoughtful decision that respects our taxpayers,” said Board President Roxanne Atkinson. “This action reflects both financial responsibility and responsiveness to our community.”

We appreciate the community’s engagement and encourage continued, fact-based conversations about the future of our schools.
