Roxanne was inspired to become a teacher because of two wonderful teachers. Mrs. Velma Fousse at Istrouma High School gave her a love for English Literature and Shakespeare. Mary Ann Bagot, her P.E. teacher at Prescott Junior High School, developed in her the desire to encourage people because of her love for teaching and young people. Roxanne taught High School English and Speech until the first of five children arrived. Later she began her own business, Aerobics by Roxanne and continues that today. She has a heart for Central and enjoys serving on the School Board as a way to give back to the community she has chosen to call her own.

Dr. Jim Gardner is a graduate of Central High School and the first person from CHS to play on the LSU football team. He is a 1988 inductee of the honorable Central High School Hall of Fame. Dr. Gardner has held educational leadership positions at the local, state, and national levels in a collection of diverse areas.

Dr Keith Holmes is a practicing physician in Central since 1990. He is a graduate of LSUMC in New Orleans and has made Central his home after serving in the United States Air Force. His five children are all graduates of CHS. Dr Holmes was one of the original citizens involved in getting our school system and has served on the Finance Committee from the very beginning of CCSS. Dr Holmes has been very involved in many aspects of our community and considers it an honor to be able to represent District 1 on the School Board.
